Baropodometry is the study of the load distribution on the feet supporting structures. This exam is carried out with a pressure platform that allows recognising and evaluating subjects with podalic pathologies and with postural diseases through static and dynamic analysis.
This study is used:
- in preventive applications, to carry out screenings of orthopaedic and neurological pathologies;
- in the diagnostic field, to provide data on postural and structural deficits in patients with orthopaedic and neurological pathologies;
- in the therapeutic field, to evaluate the improvements following a rehabilitation treatment or the use of special orthotics.
Baropodometry is a non-invasive study method and it is easy to carry both for the patient and for the specialist. It also allows obtaining accurate and easy to interpret data.
